Compliance Officer

Job Description

The Compliance Officer is responsible to perform the compliance function of the company. He/She should be able to work independently, meticulously and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed properly
• Coordinate and perform internal risk assessments while identifying, assessing, and managing risks
• Advise directors and stakeholders on compliance related matters
• Keep directors and stakeholders up to date on compliance issues including risks, audits, regulations, etc.
• Establish, update, implement and maintain companys compliance regulations and policies
• Familiarise with regulations of other countries e.g. Japan, Hong Kong
• Oversee transaction monitoring procedures and implement improvements as required
• Work with internal departments to have companys compliance regulations and policies implemented properly
• File regulatory reports as and when required
• Organise regular compliance-related training for employees
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as and when required

Skills & Experiences

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Law or related studies
• Min 5 years of working experience in related banking/compliance/audit field
• Fluent in English and Malay
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and some other IT knowledge
• In depth knowledge of market foreign exchange market, attention to details and problem solving skills
• Able to work on PH (will be compensated by 35 ALs)
